Building E.ON Next’s in-house agency & brand from the ground up.

When E.ON Next launched, it had no brand presence or internal creative capability. I was brought in to build both, implementing the visual and verbal identity of a new energy brand (of a very limited Brand Playbook), and establishing the in-house agency to deliver it across every touchpoint.

How I led the build.

  • Brought the full brand identity to life from a simple playbook provide and launch creative for a newly formed energy company

  • Built the in-house agency from a design-and-copy duo into a 27-person multidisciplinary team

  • Hired and structured talent across design, copy, animation, art direction, and creative production

  • Defined team purpose, values, ways of working and integrated delivery model within go-to-market function.

How we made it work.

From the outset, my focus was on building more than just a team. I wanted to create a culture and a capability. That meant hiring with intention, developing clear creative standards, and embedding ways of working that supported both autonomy and alignment. We designed an agency model that was agile, collaborative, and embedded within the business, so we could respond at pace without compromising on craft. The result was a team that didn’t just deliver creative, it helped define what the brand stood for.

Brand launched to 5 million customers and the UK market.

The creative team delivered all identity, messaging and assets required to take the brand to market at national scale.

Internal creative capability scaled < 12 months and again at 36 months.
